San Mateo Death Race

I apologize for the Crappy filming and Holy Shits.
After a week long rain storm and no waves my friend and I started to lose our minds . Riley Mudia, Chase Stavron, Monte Livingston and I figured what could be more fun that ride the mellow San Mateo river a few miles down stream right into the line up at uppers. Little did we know that this mellow river was Raging with hundreds of deadly traps along the way.

Parking Garage

My friends and I have been going to this parking garage for years now. The filming doesn't even come close to do justice to how fun it actually is. We all head up there after the mall closes and bomb it from the sixth floor all the down to the bottom right into the elevator. All my friends were back in town from college so decided to have a little reunion session but unfortunately we got barred fairly quick. Sorry for the shitty filming! enjoy

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home. Back to SC. Just came back from Northern SC Yesterday. And it was cold and windy on Sunday and Saturday was just cold. I judged the NSSA up there and saw some kids blowing up in the tough conditions out there. I'm glad I got home and took this sunrise this morning. Pretty cool Sunrise this morning.

So we went to Etnies today to go grab some snow gear and some shoes and other things. Thank you to the Etnies crew and Joey, our team manger. We met up with him before he left to Hawaii on friday. Have a safe trip in hawaii Joey. Mahalo.

Dominated by the Goofy foots

Today this morning we surfed T-street with 2-3 ft surf. There were a couple really fun sections with only our friends out. The goofy footers today were dominating the field with only me that was a regular footed surfer.I got all the rights to myself, while everyone else was kicking and scratching for the lefts. There you have it guys, here is your ten time world champion, Kelly Slater: congratulations to him! No one can beat this man when he's on fire. He's almost 40 and still ripping everyone out of the water. Will this be his last year to retirement or just another beggining to reach more tittles in his hands. Only time will tell us. Andy Irons tribute videos

In Puerto Rico they had a ceremony for Andy Irons where everyone went in the water and said their last words to there beloved Andy Irons. Brian Bielm also made a Tribute video for Andy and has many memories contained in this slide show. As many people have said;

R.I.P Andy Irons passed away at age 32

Andy Irons Passed today in Dallas at the age of 32. Leaving behind his pregnant wife, family, friends, and fans. It was Dengue Fever that caused this passing. He went to Puerto Rico for the Rip Curl Search and missed his first 2 heats and tried to fly back to Hawaii. He stopped by Dallas and was unable to board his next flight to Hawaii because he was too sick. He got a hotel room and he passed away there. Today is a tragic day for all and we will always remember Andy Irons, 3 time world champion with one of the best styles on the world tour. We will always remember him and we will always have him as our favorite surfer.

I love broken boards...

2 weeks ago I was surfing at T-street hoping for some waves. There were a couple wedges and I wanted to try my new board. I just stickered up my new board and waxed up all ready to go. I also had a Photo shoot with Luvsurf. I used this board hoping to use it for the Cold Water Classic 6 star prime in Santa Cruz, but it broke in a weird way. So I paddled out and caught a decent size set and did one turn on it and it felt pretty good under my feet. So then the next wave i went for an air and it some how inverted in a weird way and when I landed the tail flew up on my feet. Check out some of the photos I have for it. So much for using my new board for the contest. Luckily Lost made me a couple other good boards for the contest or I was out of luck. Oh how I love breaking a new board without knowing how good that board could have been.... At least the good part of it was getting the shot for the magazine right? Funny part of it was the wave I broke on it was  the perfect shot. Well we will see how it comes out, but stay tuned I will post it up as soon as it comes out.

The trip up to the Factory's

 Today me and Jeff cruised up and went to the Sole Tech factory up in lake forest to grab some new Etnies gear. I love their shoes, even though i don't skate much, there still the most comfiest rad looking skate shoes you will ever get. Let alone Jeff Threw away his old tattered shoes right when he got his new Etnies shoes. He wore 3 pairs of shoes in the matter of 30 mins of driving home. I don't blame him they are rad comfortable shoes.

This is me surfing again at the same spot. Really fun peaky sections today. I love those glassy sunny mornings in San Clemente. I love 3-4 ft glassy wedgy waves. And this is Brent Hilleman again shooting the sick water shots.

Shaw's Costa Rica Trip in Late July

This is me before the trip to Costa Rica. The whole trip that should have been only two and a half hour long flight took almost 13 hours. Taking a direct flight was the better option I will take from now on. It was not too bad of a flight since all of us were on the same row and you know what happens when you put all six 18 year olds together...

We just mess around with no regrets.  Pretty much the positive outlook on our lives. Life's too short right? So we just live it with as much excitement as possible. Our objective was to surf all day and have fun at night. Everything went smooth sailing..
